What SideStep does for you

1. Set up your info (one time)
Add your resume and SideStep fills in your name, contact info, work history, and more. You can change anything, anytime, in Settings. Do this once and you're ready for every job.
2. Fill an application
Open a job application, then click Fill. SideStep puts your answers in the boxes and shows you what it did with simple colors:
- Green — filled in and looks good.
- Yellow — please check this one.
- Red — this one needs you.
Review the form, fix anything you want, then press the job site's Apply button yourself.
3. See how you match a job
On a job page, SideStep shows how well you fit — at a glance. Green means you're a strong match. It also shows what the job wants that your resume doesn't show yet. Now you know where to spend your time.
4. Make your resume fit the job
Found a job you really want? SideStep looks at the job and your resume and points out real things you've already done that the job is asking for — and where to add them. You approve each one. It only uses things that are true about you. It never writes fake experience.
This is step one. A resume that fits gets seen. Fix it first, then apply.
5. Keep track of your jobs
SideStep remembers the jobs you save and apply to, so your search stays organized in one place.
6. Your privacy
Your information is yours. SideStep shows you everything before anything happens, and you're the one who presses submit. Nothing is sent without you. Read the privacy policy.
7. Your pass
SideStep is one payment for a full year. It ends when it ends — we never charge you again on our own. When your year is up, the panel will tell you, and you can get another pass whenever you like.
8. If something doesn't fill
- Make sure the job application is open on the screen.
- Try clicking Fill again.
- Refresh the page and open SideStep once more.
